Groups

Here at Vintage we hold community as one of our highest values. God exists in eternal community and has designed us to enjoy and live life in community with others. In a world that pushes us toward isolation, we realize one of our greatest needs is to connect in community. We need a place where we can know and be known, love and be loved, and serve and be served.

Community Groups are a great place for people to find authentic, life-sharing, learning community. We believe one of the greatest strengths at Vintage is in connecting, not just at Sunday services, but throughout the week. We see our groups as a place where people can grow in their relationship with Christ, share life together, and impact the community in which they live.

We have two different types of Groups to connect with:

  1. House Groups — co-ed gatherings that meet in homes during evenings throughout the week.
  2. Discipleship Groups — gender-specific groups that meet weekly at various times and places throughout Lawrence.

House Groups are seriously sweet

House Groups

House Groups are co-ed groups of all ages meeting 3 weeks/month for study, prayer and community. If you would like to join a House Group, here are the available groups and their leaders as of Fall 2008:

  • Monday @ 6:45pm - Davidson/Deavours
  • Tuesday @ 7:30pm - Blakeman/Kary
  • Wednesday @ 7:30pm - Fonseca
  • Wednesday @ 7:30pm - Hutson/Sandefur
  • Every other Friday - Buchheister/Rhea
    • Joy Rhea, 785.840.4764
    • Childcare Provided

Certain people may find more affinity with certain groups. To find out which House Group is right for you, contact one of the Group Leaders, or contact John Flynn or Mendy Hutson, and they will be happy to connect you with a group that's right for you.
