The Foundation

Our Core Team consists of all those who have made a Core Covenant at Vintage Church. They are the backbone and foundation of Vintage, and live out what it means to be the Church in our midst.

As stated, Our Core Team truly is the foundation for our Church. These men and women make a Covenant with Vintage Church and are truly experiencing the life that God designed for His Church Community. We meet on a regular basis over a meal together, and live up to the 5 tenets of the Core Covenant.

The Tenants

1. 1 year Commitment to Vintage Church — Core members see themselves as long term missionaries, and therefore, must be committed to this endeavor. Core members are the foundation of our church, and this commitment will allow the time necessary to lay this solid foundation
2. Pursue the Disconnected — We exist for the purpose of connecting the spiritually disconnected. As leaders, we must set the example by relationally investing in the lives of those who are disconnected from Jesus. Strategically, we believe that relational evangelism is the most effective way to reach and assimilate new Christians into the body of Christ. More than 80 percent of those who come to Christ and remain members of the local church experience Jesus through a friendship with someone who is a believer.
3. Community Group Involvement — Building relationships in an authentic community is absolutely essential for believers and for the spiritually disconnected alike. Therefore, Core members must be growing in relationships with other members of the community, and must invite and engage with others in our smaller life-changing communities called House Groups and Discipleship Groups.
4. Serving on a Ministry Team — The Core builds a solid foundation to Vintage through service. To pull off a church and all the ministries that must support it, we must join together and serve as the body, each of us using our own gifts that God has given us to build up the body of Christ.
5. 10 percent Plus Giving — We believe that the standard is set very clear for all believers, and that we should give back to God at least 10 percent of what he has given to us. Core members are work towards giving their full tithes to Vintage Church.
