Stewardship

Stewarding What God Has Given Us

God has given us time, talents, treasure and His creation. These sections will help you align your priorities in each area and give you action steps for how to grow deeper in your faith through stewarding your gifts.

Time

In our busy lives, we must prioritize quiet time with God or it may be easy to put off. Make it a priority to plan time with God, friends, and family to help grow in your relationships with others and honor Him in the process. You may feel enslaved by your calendar or to-do list, but ask yourself, "Am I planning my schedule around God, or around worldly things? How can I get organized and start planning in advance?"

Talents

God has given us all unique talents, things we are good at, things that come easy to us. He also gives each person in the church body a special gift, which is how he intends for us to serve others inside and outside of the church. Often we find that our talents and gifts are closely related, but we may still ask, "What exactly are my spiritual gifts? How can I serve Jesus as well as others by using the gifts God has given me?"

Treasure

The greatest teacher to ever live talked about money more than anything else. God calls us to be stewards of our money: to tithe to His church, and to provide for those less fortunate than ourselves. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. More info coming soon.

Creation

It was God who gave us the whole earth to “fill and subdue,” and it was He who called us to “work it and take care of it.” As followers of Jesus, we are charged with the command to do our part in sustaining that which God has made. "How can I do my part to steward God's great Earth? How can I get involved in what's already going on at Vintage?"
